The final at Hemel Town is particularly well documented. Leverstock Green made 122/9. Langleybury reached 126/5, winning by five wickets with seven balls remaining. Ross Channer took 4/27 in five overs and was named man of the match. The dated scorecard and report.

The chase included 35 from Pete Metcalf, 30 from Mo Manzoor and 17 from Josh Godden, with Khalid Manzoor helping finish the innings. These details come from the opposing club’s report, a useful example of how a result can be reconstructed through records held outside Langleybury itself.

Competition names need care

The 2015 club history calls the 2003 and 2006 successes the Heath Cup. Other sources use Gazette Cup and Heath Park Cup. This archive preserves each source’s wording. It does not assume that every name refers to an unchanged competition, trophy or set of rules across the decades.

The 1999 County Cup claim is retained as an attributed club account because a final score, opponent and exact date have not been independently recovered. The same distinction applies to several earlier local finals.

League development and later snapshots

The 1988 programme says the first and second XIs had entered the Home Counties League for the first time in the previous year, giving 1987 as the inferred season. It describes mid-table finishes. The inference depends on the programme’s July 1988 date and is separate from the later Hertfordshire championship. 1988 club history.

For a much later season, the official 2025 Division 2A table places Langleybury’s first XI ninth of ten, with 18 fixtures, two wins, fourteen losses, one cancellation, one abandonment and 224 points. That is a dated 2025 record, not a current-season position. 2025 league table.
